Social Media Can’t Figure Out This Optical Illusion
HOW DOES THIS WORK?!?!
Optical illusions are fun to look at when on the toilet, drunk and/or needing distraction.
But this viral video shows an optical illusion which will require far more time and attention than your usual five-second brain-twister.
This 3D printed arrow can’t point left, no matter which way the user turns it.
Designed by mathematician and sculptor Kokichi Sugihara, Twitter was miffed as to why the arrow can’t turn left.
Twitter user @ThamKhaiMeng who originally shared the video, and included the solution to the illusion in his caption:
"This arrow by mathematician and sculptor Kokichi Sugihara can't point left. Here's how it works: It's 3D-printed with a bunch of curves our brains don't register."
