Darrell Lea Drops First New Chocolate In 92 Years And Aussies Have Gone Berko
Just when you thought nothing could beat a licquorice bullet…
True blue Aussie chocolate company Darrell Lea has served us their delicious confectionery since 1927.
Thing is, they’ve been serving us pretty much the same chocolate range since 1927. Which is fine, but we like to shake things up a little, y’know?
Well Australia, your prayers have been answered, ‘cause Darrell Lea has dropped the first new chocolate range in 92 years.
The new range is a transformed take on their iconic chocolate blocks.
The company seems to have dusted itself off and decided to re-enter the game, so to speak.
The brand announcing that it's “taking on the biggest names in chocolate head on” by transforming its iconic products into a block format for the first time in its 92-year history.
Rocklea Road and Batch 37 Liquorice are both getting a glow-up, while much-loved goodies Peanut Brittle, Fruitier & Nuttier, Peppermint Partytime and Caramel Craving also get a makeover.
Twitter has exploded with consumers going gaga over the news, with many claiming it to be superior to Cadbury and even Arnott’s, which recently recreated its biscuit range as blocks too.
They’re currently selling for $3 at Woolies, so it won’t break the bank to stock-up for winter.
C’ya, we’re off to the shops, it’s chocolate-o-clock.
