Taylor, Drake and Madonna: Everything That Happened At The BBMAs
"Vegas is FUN!"
1. Taylor Swift opens the show in the best way possible
The 2019 Billboard Music Awards kicked off with a massive performance of ME! from Taylor Swift and Brendon Urie.
The colourful, dance-filled number has us SO excited for her next tour.
2. Jonas Brothers make all of our teenage dreams come true
Starting off with Nick and Joe singing their solo hits Jealous and Cake By The Ocean, the trio came together for a performance of their new song Sucker (which had us burnin’ up).
PLEASE RELEASE AUSTRALIAN TOUR DATES SOON!
3. Drake (rightfully) thanks Arya Stark in his acceptance speech
While accepting the award for Billboard Top 200 Album, Drake gave a shout out to Arya Stark “for putting in that work last week, ayyyy”.
He also became the most awarded Billboard artist ever, so that’s pretty huge!
4. Halsey and BTS’ debut performance of Boy With Luv
These two artists absolutely KILLED this performance, and we’re currently trying to learn all the choreography.
Halsey also performed a very dramatic version of Without Me, and wow she really is on top of her game right now isn’t she?
5. Kelly Clarkson’s medley of pop hits
From Eastside to One Kiss, the host of the show slayed her epic medley of songs from audience, and even got Cardi B’s approval from her performance I Like It.
That girl can sing AND rap!
6. Madonna’s strange $5 million performance
The singer performed her new single Medellin with Columbian singer Maluma in a performance that is rumoured to have cost $5 million.
An eye-patched Madonna danced alongside four holograms of herself, and everyone was confused.
7. Taylor Swift’s award show dancing makes a return
No words, just enjoy this GIF.
8. Mariah Carey’s effortless whistle-tones
Before accepting the Icon Award, Mariah performed a bunch of her hits throughout her career with the audience singing along the whole time.
9. Paula Abdul’s epic hat-throw
In the night of pop divas, Paula performed a medley of her hits with incredible dance moves.
The best part though? When she flung her hat straight into Julianne Hough while she danced through the crowd.
