One Of The Avengers Couldn’t Be Trusted With The Endgame Script

They can save the world but they can’t keep a secret!

We are so excited for the new Avengers: Endgame film to come out April 24, and until then we have been dissecting every trailer, movie poster and interview.

The directors, Anthony and Joe Russo, have recently revealed some new information about the upcoming Marvel film, saying that they didn’t tell one of the stars how the movie ended in case they spoiled it.

Apparently Tom Holland, aka Spiderman, couldn’t be trusted with the full script!

“Tom Holland gets his lines, and that’s it,” Joe said at the Avengers: Endgame Indian Anthem event.

"He doesn’t even know who he’s acting opposite of. We use like very vague terms to describe to him what is happening in the scene because he has a very difficult time keeping his mouth shut.”

Last year at ACE Comic Con Phoenix, Holland said that the directors never gave him much information during the filming of Infinity War either.

“The Russo brothers are like, ‘So, you’re just standing here and you’re fighting this guy, and just do whatever, and I’m like, ‘OK, who am I fighting?’ And they were like, ‘Well, we can’t tell you because it’s a secret’. I’m like, ‘OK, so what does he look like?’ And they’re like, ‘Well, we can’t tell you because that would give it away’.”

During a screening of Avengers: Infinity War last year, Holland accidentally ruined the ending when he revealed what happened to his character thinking the audience had already seen the film.

A video of Holland with his co-star Benedict Cumberbatch also went viral last April, where Cumberbatch kept preventing him from revealing spoilers on the Infinity War press tour.

Avengers: Endgame is in Australian cinemas April 24.
