It’s already been a huge year of movies, with Aladdin, Avengers: Endgame, Pokémon Detective Pikachu and Toy Story 4 all hitting cinemas earlier this year, but 2019 isn’t over yet.

Fans can expect to see Angelina Jolie, The Rock, Taylor Swift, Cardi B and more A-list celebs on the big screen very soon, so get your choc-tops and popcorn ready!

Get excited, here are 11 blockbuster films that are still to come later this year:

IT: Chapter Two (5th September 2019)

The second half of Stephen King’s story is set 27 years after the first film, with Bill Skarsgård reprising his role as Pennywise and Jessica Chastain, James McAvoy and Bill Hader joining the cast.

Joker (4th October 2019)

Expectations are high for this standalone Joker film as everyone waits to see if Joaquin Phoenix’s character portrayal holds up to Heath Ledger’s Oscar-winning performance…

Hustlers (10th October 2019)

Not only does this movie have an all-star cast including Jennifer Lopez, Constance Wu, Cardi B, Lizzo, Lili Reinhart and more, it’s also produced by comedy duo Will Ferrell and Adam McKay.

Maleficent: Mistress Of Evil (17th October 2019)

Angelina Jolie reprises her role in this sequel to the 2014 reimagining of Sleeping Beauty, also joined by Elle Fanning and a new character played by Michelle Pfeiffer.

Lady and the Tramp (1st November 2019)

The latest film in Disney’s series of live-action remakes is available exclusively on the Disney+ streaming service, which Australia is fortunately one of the first countries to receive.

Charlie’s Angels (29th November 2019)

Elizabeth Banks directs this reboot starring Kristen Stewart, Naomi Scott, Ella Balinska and everyone’s favourite heartthrob Noah Centineo.

The Addams Family (5th December 2019)

This animated remake of The Addams Family stars Charlize Theron, Oscar Isaac and Chloë Grace Moretz, and is expected to be both hilarious and spooky.

Jumanji: The Next Level (13th December 2019)

The Rock, Nick Jonas, Jack Black and Kevin Hart are joined by Danny DeVito, Danny Glover and Awkwafina in the fourth instalment of the Jumanji franchise.

Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker (19th December 2019)

Episode IX is probably one of the most anticipated films of the year, with Mark Hamill, Adam Driver and Daisy Ridley reprising their roles alongside Carrie Fisher through reshoots.

Cats (20th December 2019)

Audiences are already intrigued with how this film will turn out with Taylor Swift, Ian McKellen, Jason Derulo, Rebel Wilson, Judi Dench, Jennifer Hudson and Idris Elba CGI’d into cats. Creepy, but amazing.

Frozen 2 (26th December 2019)

Warm-up your vocals now, because this highly-anticipated sequel is dropping right after Christmas! Fans just can’t let the original film go…
