Taylor Swift Has Cancelled Her Melbourne Cup Performance
The decision comes after some controversy.
Every year the Melbourne Cup gets a big shot star to perform.
Last year it was real-life angel Sam Smith, and this year it was set to be megastar Taylor Swift… until she pulled out.
Yep, after confirming her appearance at the cup, Taylor has cancelled due to “scheduling conflicts”.
"Regrettably, Taylor is no longer able to make it to this year's Melbourne Cup," promoter Mushroom Group's chief Michael Gudinski said in a statement.
"Changes to her Asian promo schedule have made it logistically impossible for her to be here. To all of Taylor's fans, we hope to see Taylor in Australia in 2020.”

Victoria Racing Club chief executive officer Neil Wilson added: "Obviously, this is disappointing for everyone. We understand how important the pre-Cup entertainment is and we look forward to providing an update shortly.”
The Melbourne Cup is on November 5 so here’s hoping the VRC can rally and find another performer in just a couple of months.
