Recall Issued For Ingham Chicken Schnitzels

Check your fridge.

Ingham’s gluten-free chicken schnitzels, which are currently on sale at Woolworths, have been recalled due to fears they may not actually be gluten-free.

Apparently, some batches of normal chicken schnitzel (ie: with normal gluten-based bread crumbs) were incorrectly labelled.

“The recall is due to incorrect packaging (Southern Style Tenders were packaged incorrectly in Gluten Free Schnitzel labelled tray) which has resulted in the presence of undeclared allergen - gluten,” the company said.

“Consumers who have a gluten allergy or intolerance should not consume these products.”

The packs in questions are 440-grams with a best-before date of April 8.

Buyers who have purchased any kind of Ingham's chicken schnitzel which fits this description are being urged to return the product to the place of purchase for a full refund.

The recall is currently only relevant to Victorian residents. It is unclear if other states are affected.
