One of the MAFS couples just got back together

Love isn’t dead, after all!

Our favourite couple from Married At First Sight - Simon McQuillan and Alene Khatcherian - have been spotted together looking very chummy - just weeks after announcing their split.

The unlikely couple, who eventually and adorably found love on the show, went to the Ipswich Cup together this past weekend.

And when fans freaked over the photo evidence on Instagram - MAFS co-star John Robertson all but confirmed they were back on.

When a fan asked if they were back together in an Instagram comment, John replied:

"I've heard not but they looked pretty cosy to me."

Great dinner party with this bunch yeah no cameras and drama free #mafs #marriedatfirstsight #brothersleaguesclub

They were the only couple pictured at the mini MAFS reunion, which also included Jesse Konstantinoff, Sean Hollands, Lauren Bran and Nadia Stamp.

We’re hoping this is more than a cute ex hang!

Simon and Alene confirmed their breakup in May to TheFIX:

"It was a difficult decision but we have decided to part ways. We remain the greatest of friends and we will continue to be part of each others’ lives. We thank you for your privacy at this time."

Their long-distance relationship was thought to be the reason behind the split - Simon lives in Ipswich and Alene in Sydney.
