New Bunnings sausage sizzle rule causing outrage

It's the sausage news we never wanted to share but sadly, there are some big changes coming to ye humble Bunnings sizzle.

Bunnings Chief Operating Officer, Debbie Poole, has released a statement that has set many hearts (see: Twitter) afire:

“Safety is always our No 1 priority and we recently introduced a suggestion that onion be placed underneath sausages to help prevent the onion from falling out and creating a slipping hazard,” she explained.

Yes. Onion... is a slipping hazard bad enough to warrant the assault that is a gob full of onions at first bite of a snag.

The new recommendation has been provided in the “sausage sizzle welcome pack” to community and charity groups that run the fundraisers. The Guardian also report that the it is now on display near the barbecue setups themselves.

As for us, we honestly feel blessed the institution that is the Bunnings sizzle exists at all.
