Conor McGregor Just Announced He’s Retiring From MMA

“I wish all my old colleagues well going forward in competition.”

Conor McGregor is one hell of a fighter but just in case you missed the headlines, - he’s also known for having a bit of an attitude.

All you need to do is watch his 2017 weigh-in with Floyd Mayweather to understand what we mean*.

*Also worth watching ‘cause it’s the infamous boner incident (aka the time Conor had a noticeable hard-on while on national TV).

Earlier this year, Conor received a six-month ban and a hefty fine for the brawl which broke out during UFC 229 between McGregor and then-opponent Khabib Nurmagomedov.

Conor’s been out of the game for a little while thanks to the ban. And now it seems he has no plans of returning, because he just announced his retirement from MMA.

Via Twitter, no less.

But… this isn’t the first time Conor has retired.

In 2016 he Tweeted this doozy:

We gotta admit, it doesn’t sound as legit as Conor’s more recent retirement announcement. Although we’re not sure Twitter is a legit source for anything other than hilarious commentary on reality TV.

Social media appears to have some mixed opinions about his announcement:

You do you, Conor.
