The gunman is still on the run.

At least four men were shot outside a popular Melbourne nightclub at around 3:20am on Sunday with the gunman still on the loose, according to Daily Mail.

The drive-by shooting happened at the Love Machine near Little Chapel Street and Malvern Road. The gunman was driving a stolen Porsche Cayenne.

The four victims, including a 28-year-old security guard who was reportedly shot in the face, were rushed to hospital.

Two of the men, one 29 and another in his 50s, are stable with non-life threatening injuries while the others are in a critical condition.

The Age reports that police will investigate links to an outlaw bikie gang which has mad extortion attempts on the nightclub.

The nightclub was still full of patrons at the time of the shooting. The music was reportedly so loud they couldn't hear the gunshots outside.

Sunrise reports that one person who was shot in the arm ran up the street to get help.

People are being urged to avoid the area.

Anyone with any information of the incident is being urged to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
