Whitney Houston Is Releasing A New Album And Going On Tour
Whitney Houston is a music icon.
Every time her songs come on at a party, the whole room erupts with cheering and off-key singing.
I Wanna Dance With Somebody is a JAM.
Not this kind:
Sadly, Whitney passed away seven years ago, and the chance to see her perform live went with her.
The icon’s estate is reportedly planning on releasing a posthumous album and a hologram tour.
According to The New York Times, Pat Houston - Whitney’s sister-in-law, estate executor, and former manager - has a plan to re-brand the late pop diva.
“Before she passed, there was so much negativity around the name; it wasn’t about the music anymore,” Pat explained to the Times.
“People had forgotten how great she was. They let all the personal things about her life outweigh why they fell in love with her in the first place.”
Hence the decision to release new tracks from Whitney’s vault.
And the hologram tour? It’s in the works.
“The hologram has taken precedence over everything,” Pat told the Times.
She also added that the under-development hologram will perform hits like I Wanna Dance With Somebody (Who Loves Me) and The Greatest Love of All while accompanied by Whitney’s original band members and backup singers.
