Victoria Beckham Has Spoken Out About Not Doing The Spice Girls Tour
Posh was absent from the Spice World - 2019 tour.
When the news about The Spice Girls reunion tour first broke all our '90s dreams came true.
Everyone was excited except Posh, it seems, who snubbed the tour in favour of her hefty AF work schedule and juggling four children - which, fair.
The pop star-come-fashion mogul and mother-of-four made it pretty clear that she was finished with the group after the conclusion of their last reunion tour:
"The other girls spent time relaxing in bed, shopping and in the gym before heading off to the soundcheck,” she told French Vogue in 2008.
"I arrived with three kids in tow in a really tight dress because I'd been in meetings all day...I just wanted to be elsewhere."
Now she’s spoken out in an interview with Vogue Germany about her decision this time 'round:
"It took me a lot of courage not to go on tour with the Spice Girls again, but to be the one who says, 'You know, I’m not doing it because things feel different now than they used to'," she told the publication. "I’d rather concentrate on my family and my company.
"I’m 45 now and very happy to be the woman I am... I’m not trying to change, I want to be the best version of myself. Before I turned 40, I wasn’t that confident. I learned to listen to my gut feeling."
The comment comes a week after Mel C revealed the girls had such a blast performing together they’re thinking of extending their reunion and tour the world.
"We don’t want it to end," she said. "We’ve had an incredible run here in the UK. We’d really like to get further afield."
Victoria didn’t turn up to support the girls at their hometown show in London at Wembley Stadium, instead, attending a wedding in Spain with hubby David Beckham.
We miss the good old days.
