Twitter Slams Dumb-Dumb For Objectifying Billie Eilish

Need some aloe for that burn?

Let us start by saying that we stan Billie Eilish… hard.

From her majestic Nova’s Red Room performance and even her “Who is Hilary Duff?” moment, the young singer is the epitome of the talent and we’re here for it.

But it would appear some corners of the world aren’t so cool with their adoration.

A recent photo of Billie, wearing a singlet and a jumper has been making its rounds through Twitter, with the dreaded caption: “Billie Eilish is THICK.”

And because Twitter is where trolls come to troll, the ‘Bad Guys’ of Internet come through once again and prove just the thing that Billie was trying to stay away from: the objectification and sexualisation of young women.

The 17-year-old wunderkind recently made waves over the interweb when she appeared in Calvin Klein’s “I Speak My Truth In #MyCalvins” campaign with fellow Hollywood millennials including Noah Centineo, Shawn Mendes and Kendall Jenner.

In the ad, she says:

“That’s why I wear baggy clothes. Nobody can have an opinion because they haven’t seen what’s underneath. Nobody can be like, ‘she’s slim-thick,’ ‘she’s not slim-thick,’ ‘she’s got a flat ass,’ ‘she’s got a fat ass.’ No one can say any of that because they don’t know.”

But Billie didn’t need to come out swinging.

Oh no. The other side of the ‘net came through to show – and shame – the creepos of the world with some epic burns.

Show some respect ‘cause just like the rest of Australia, we LOVE and support Billie.
