Tom Holland Is So Bad At Keeping Secrets, He Couldn't Be Trusted With The Endgame Script
Ladies and gentlemen, meet Tom Holland.
He’s the actor currently portraying Spider-Man in the Marvel Universe, inheriting the role from Andrew Garfield.
The 22-year-old has starred in three Marvel films so far, yet the one with the highest stakes is still to come.
Avengers: Engame marks the final release in the 22-title film series that makes up the Marvel Universe.
Which means avoiding spoilers are VERY important!
During an Avengers: Endgame event recently, directing brother duo Anthony and Joe Russo confirmed that Holland couldn’t be trusted with the script for th
“Yeah, Tom Holland does not get the script,” Joe Russo said. “Tom Holland gets his lines and that’s it. He doesn’t even know who he’s acting opposite of.
“We’ll just, we use like very vague terms to describe to him what is happening in the scene, because he has a very difficult time keeping his mouth shut.”
His track record does call for such drastic action though.
Firstly he revealed that there would be a third Spider-Man film before it had even been announced. Oops!
Then, there was that time he revealed the name of his second Spider-Man film on Instagram before the studio had a chance to.
Still not having learned his lesson, Holland was still spoiling things for the Avengers franchise. In an interview for Infinity War, not even having co-star Benedict Cumberbatch sitting next to him during an interview could prevent Tom from saying more than he should have!
So you can see why the directors had to take matters into their own hands!
Avengers: Endgame opens in theaters nationwide on April 24, 2019.
Spider-Man: Far From Home is set to hit theaters in July 2019.
