Gossip Girl Could Be Getting A Reboot And OMG
Since 2012 we’ve had a big, fat, Gossip Girl-shaped hole in our hearts.
Six seasons of love triangles, over-sexed teens and lavish fashion were just not enough.
But Chace Crawford, who played Nate Archibald in the smash-hit series, is totes on our level.
In an interview with Digital Spy he shared that he could see Gossip Girl returning as an eight-episode miniseries:
"I don't know what it would look like with us being in our 30s now, but I always say, because it was such a big part of my life, I'm open to anything," he said.
"It would have to be really right, and really specific, and with TV and the golden age of the TV streaming service, maybe an eight-episode season."
Back in Feb it was revealed that The CW was having "discussions" about rebooting the series, but nothing was confirmed.
33-year-old Crawford explained, "It would be very tough to get everybody on board I think because of their schedules, Penn, Leighton, Ed.... They're all doing really good TV shows. It would be hard I think [to get them together].
“The reboot might come in the form of new characters. I would absolutely cameo. I'd have to."
We’re 100 per cent in favour of a reboot, new characters or otherwise. Still, as far as TV couples go, there can only be one Chuck and Blair.
