Sylvia Jefferys announces new gig at A Current Affair
After being named as one of many faces to leave the Today Show, Sylvia Jefferys has announced her next big role.
Daily Mail Australia report that Sylvia will be making the step across to A Current Affair proving there's no ill-will with Channel 9.
A Nine Network spokesperson told the publication:
"Sylvia is working on some projects close to her heart across several departments, including A Current Affair."
"We'll have more to announce soon."
It was announced late December that Sylvia as well as husband Peter Stefanovic his brother, Karl Stefanovic and Richard Wilkins would be leaving the Today Show after falling ratings.
"I've loved and embraced every minute of my Today show chapter and I'm thrilled to sink my teeth into a brand new project," Sylvia said at the time.
"Opportunity often knocks when you least expect it and I'm ready to dive right in to what's ahead of me."
At the time, the network head of news and current affairs, Darren Wick, praised Sylvia for her work on Today, stating:
“Sylvia has done a great job on Today, and while the team there will miss her, she is about to embark on an exciting new challenge. Watch this space in 2019."
