Samantha Markle has publicly apologised to Meghan Markle
"This media madness has been quite overwhelming..."
You can practically hear all royal fans collectively say:
"GIVE. IT. A REST!"
The Duchess of Sussex's half-sister, Samantha Markle, has publicly apologised to the former actress for attacking her in the press.
Because not apologising in public would be unheard of.
"This media madness has been quite overwhelming and media is quite powerful. Whether you say nothing or you say something it's almost always twisted for negative affect for self publication. I think it's been quite hurtful to our family, I can't imagine how hurtful it's been to my sister. But so much of reality is unknown."
On the UK show, Jeremy Vine, Markle believes the Duchess did not meet up with her because she was "hurt":
"I think that perhaps she was hurt and probably believed what she was seeing on the media as well. I am hoping we can have a happy ending."
The madness seemed to start when their joint father, Thomas was paid for staged photos.
However, she says that Thomas only took a little bit of money for the photos.
Samantha has been anything but positive about sister Meghan ever since it was announced she was to become the bride of Britain's Prince Harry.
Her attacks have included criticism about the way the Duchess was treating their sick father, and calling the Duchess names like the "duchASS".
But it appears she has had a change of heart.
Vine doesn't tread any topic lightly and basically says everything we all want to say. He confronts about all the nasty things she has said and pushes at whether she blames herself for what happened between Meghan and her father.
Samantha insists much of what has been attributed to her has been spun by the media.
"I thought in the beginning, when we spoke publicly, I thought we were being open-hearted and even favourable and that fell on deaf ears and the media turned it into something it’s not.
"I apologise and I wish things could be different."
Samantha was not invited to Meghan's royal wedding in Windsor, England back in May (18), and the sisters' father also missed out on the big event after undergoing heart surgery. As a result, the groom's father, Charles, walked his daughter-in-law-to-be down the aisle at the star-studded ceremony.
Meghan's mother, Doria Ragland, was the only family member who attended the nuptials.
