Samantha Armytage Reveals How She Lost 10 Kilograms

Sunrise host Samantha Armytage has revealed a 10kg weight loss, as an ambassador for Weight Watchersm, saying she feels "absolutely fantastic".

“It’s not just about losing weight, it’s about a holistic approach to life and about maintaining weight which is the hardest thing for me to do as a shift worker,” Samantha told news.com.au.

“I feel great, absolutely fantastic — don’t forget I get up at 3.15am so being a bit lighter and having more energy throughout the day really helps. It’s a nice feeling and I want to keep going.”

"Thrilled to announce I’m joining forces with @ww as their newest ambassador!" she also announced on Instagram, tagging and crediting Weight Watchers.

Remember; it’s not about being skinny, it’s about being healthy & strong!"

“If it was one of the many other weight loss companies I probably wouldn’t be interested, but it’s not. I really like this new version where it’s all about wellness,” she said.

Sam told news.com.au that in addition to following the point-based meal plans provided by WW (the new name for Weight Watchers), she also visits the gym twice a week and walks her labrador every day. 

“I go [to the gym] for boxing. I don’t know what I ever did without it,” she explained.

“The beauty of it is you can still eat everything — I can still have a glass of wine, I can still eat a piece of cake; you just eat it in moderation, so if you have a piece of cake in the morning maybe you don’t have a slice of bread at lunch time and I think that’s been really good for me to understand.”
