Ryan Reynolds And Will Ferrell Are Teaming Up To Make A Christmas Musical Movie
Elf x Deadpool, anyone??
It’s that wonderful time of year where it’s (almost) socially acceptable to talk about Christmas movies again*.
And fellow Christmas movie enthusiasts, I have the news of all news for you: Ryan Reynolds and Will Ferrell are working on a Christmas film together.
As much as we would love to see a Deadpool and Elf crossover, that is not what the film is about. The pair are working on an adaptation of Charles Dickens‘ classic A Christmas Carol.
Oh, and it will be a musical. We are ALL IN on this one.
Catch up on the latest Fitzy & Wippa podcast:
Little more is known about the film at this stage, except that Sean Anders and John Morris of the Daddy’s Home films are lined up to direct.
A Christmas Carol tells the story of Ebenezer Scrooge, who is visited by the ghosts of Christmases past, present and yet to come, and is transformed into a better man as a result.
Popular adaptations of the story include The Muppet Christmas Carol, and Scrooged, starring Bill Murray.
We’re calling it now: Ryan and Will’s version of the iconic story is gonna be the best one yet.
*Elf is the best Christmas movie of all time, k thanks.
