Michael Buble just did the most emotional Carpool Karaoke episode ever
Michael Buble has made a touching appearance on James Corden's Carpool Karaoke, raising money for Stand Up To Cancer.
Inbetween exuberant renditions of his hits 'Haven’t Met You Yet' and 'It’s A Beautiful Day', the 43-year-old discussed his son Noah's brave battle with cancer.
In 2016, the then-three-year-old was diagnosed with liver cancer, a moment Buble described as "painful to talk about":
“We got the diagnosis, and that was it. My whole life ended.
“He was three. Listen, it was not good. At first, it was… It’s too hard to talk about.
“Basically, they said it wasn’t great, and we just took it day by day.
“My sister’s, my wife’s family, they all took their kids out of school, and we just had the best doctors. And God, thank you, Jesus Christ.”
Noah is now five and in remission after successful treatment.
Michael credited his wife, Luisana Lopilato, for her support through their family's ordeal:
“I’m not OK... when this all started, I became the strength to somehow pull us and lift us and to be positive. When they got [the cancer] out and the chemo was done and they said, ‘We did it, it’s good, he’s okay,’ I fell, I just fell. My wife picks me up now.”
Michael told James the inspiring words he uses to empower his brave little boy, who is a fan of comic book superheroes:
"I say to him... Spider-Man is amazing, Superman is amazing but they are fake, they are not real. You are a superhero, you are my hero. My real superhero."
Stand Up To Cancer raised a total of AU$44.4 million to fund cancer research last night.
