Meghan Markle just proved who her favourite leader is
This is adorable!
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been busy with engagements in Dublin with a visit to the official residence of President Michael D Higgins.
Let's just get this out the way, Markle has been slaying with the outfits.
Meghan is travelling around the world meeting leaders, however it was clear who she was most excited to meet in Ireland.
Markle absolutely beamed as she met the President's Bernese Mountain Dogs.
The President has had Bernese mountain dogs for over 19 years and took in Shadow, a Bernese Mountain dog, who was left homeless when his previous owners emigrated in search of work.
Every morning Shadow and Bród walk with the President on his walks around the grounds of Áras an Uachtaráin.
Markle is a big fan of dogs having had two rescue dogs of her own.
A beagle named Guy, and a Labrador-shepherd cross, Bogart - who she would keep in touch with via FaceTime during her long stints away. Markle adopted Bogart after Ellen DeGeneres convinced her to after bumping into her in a shelter.
Kensington Palace confirmed Guy came to the UK and has legal permission to stay here.
However, Markle had to say goodbye to Bogart as he is too old to fly. Bogart stays with friends.
In an interview with BBC's Mishal Husain:
"I have two dogs that I've had for quite a long time, both my rescue pups.
"And one is now staying with very close friends and my other little guy is, yes he's in the UK, he's been here for a while. I think he's doing just fine."
