Meghan Markle and the Queen reportedly had a huge pre-wedding argument
It's probably safe to say that Meghan Markle would've had a few pre-wedding jitters before tying the knot with Prince Harry earlier the year. Heck, it was only the biggest wedding of the year after all.
But apparently those pre-wedding jitters came with a side of arguing with the Queen/future grandmother-in-law.
According to a well-placed royal insider who spoke to The Sun, pre-wedding tensions were high when Meghan wanted to wear a tiara that featured emeralds, only to be told no because no one knew where it came from.
“Meghan had her heart set on this tiara with emeralds and Prince Harry hit the roof when they were told it was impossible for her to wear it."
This lead to a very "heated" exchange where Queen Elizabeth reportedly stepped in and dropped this little nugget on the future couple-to-be:
"'Meghan cannot have whatever she wants. She gets what tiara she’s given by me'".
Meghan ultimately wore a diamond and platinum bandeau tiara lent to her by the Queen for the wedding.
That was only tip of the iceberg though as the Queen then "questioned why Meghan needed a veil" since it was her second marriage before supposedly telling her future granddaughter-in-law to be mindful of how she speaks to staff and her behaviour.
“The message from the Queen was very much Meghan needed to think about how she speaks to staff members and be careful to follow family protocols.”
We can only presume the Queen pulled out a microphone and then dropped it at the end of this little heated exchange.
Hey, we get it, everyone is a little nervous and on edge before a big, big wedding and this is certainly no different.
And with Meghan pregnant, we like to think that she and the Queen are more excited about that than any silly argument over what tiara to wear.
