MAFS' Jules Devastated After Friend Leaks Her Private Photos
"Obviously not a friend anymore."
Married At First Sight star Jules Robinson has opened up to 9Honey about the betrayal she suffered after a friend leaked images from her private engagement party.
Jules and soon-to-be husband, Cam Merchant held their engagement party last month after a successful trial run at wedded bliss on reality TV
What appears to have been a happy and successful event however, was marred by "betrayal" from a friend.
Jules told 9Honey that a friend leaked photos from inside the event despite strict instructions not to do so.
“Literally within a few hours someone had leaked photos from the inside out, which is very hurtful because it was a friend - obviously not a friend anymore,” she told the publication.
"They were selling photos from the inside, which is just really disappointing and a betrayal of trust to think that they're gonna make money from an event," she continued.
Then to be told from the press that we've made money, when we spent a lot of our own money and didn't make a single cent from our engagement party! It wasn't about that for us."
The 200-person event was held at Camperdown Commons' Acre Eatery in Sydney's inner west. Guests included fellow MAFS contestants Heidi, Elizabeth, Cyrell, Mick, Melissa, Billy and Bronson, a list finely cultivated:
"There were a lot of people there -- it wasn't as if our wedding is going to be as big, it was more a celebration of people we've met along the way as well, and who've had our back and been our friend and been so supportive on our journey from day one," Jules explained.
"We had help. We had some wonderful people that reached out and got involved, which was amazing," Cam added, explaining Jules "loves organising".
"We really appreciate that and it made the party spectacular, but it was a combined effort."
