Kit Harington says he's 'done' with Game of Thrones
"Right, I'm f*****g sick of this."
We're only a few months away before the final season of Game of Thrones is upon us and call us excited is a bit of an understatement. It's kinda like saying you'll only get a little wet if you jump into a pool.
But for Kit Harington, it seems like he's glad that the mega-popular show is over and he's more than happy to hang up Jon Snow's long locks and brooding looks for good.
Chatting to GQ Australia, Kit revealed that filming GoT's last season was brutal and "seemed to be designed to break [the crew]."
“Everyone was broken at the end. I don’t know if we were crying because we were sad it was ending or if we were crying because it was so f*****g tiring.
"We were sleep deprived. It was like it was designed to make you think, Right, I’m f*****g sick of this."
We're not too surprised to hear ol' Jon Snow say that about the making of Game of Thrones.
It's been well-documented that the show is an epic undertaking that spans across multiple countries, several months, and countless manhours, meaning exhaustion is pretty much a given.
With the show's final season, it may have "only" six episodes but each installment is supposedly around 90 minutes long, which means the crew are essentially making six movies in just the span of a few months.
That's just bonkers. No wonder why Jon Snow knows nothing, he's probably too tired to keep stuff in his brain.
It definitely explains Kit's mixed feelings about the show after he finished filming:
"I remember everyone walking around towards the end going, ‘I’ve had enough now. I love this, it’s been the best thing in my life, I’ll miss it one day – but I’m done.’”
Of course, it wasn't just all work and exhaustion for ol' Kit as it was through Thrones that he met his now-wife Rose Leslie, whom he married last year.
“It dawned on me, recently. And I have no idea if we will, but say me and Rose do have children. They’ll know.
"They’ll be able to see the genesis of their parents getting together. Which is quite a wonderful thought, really.
“I thank the show for everything. But more than anything else, I thank it for introducing me to her.”
The show may be wrapping up its epic run in April but we will always have these words that were made immortal by Kit and Rose: "You know nothing, Jon Snow."
