Kim Kardashian is getting hella BURNT for this Instagram post

1 min read

Kim Kardashian - philosopher, astrologer and noble prize winning ethnologist - has provoked the ire of the Internet (yes again) with the decision to spruik a particularly sour lolly (pun very much intended).

The reality TV star posted a sponsored image to Instagram, posing with what appears at first to be a simple red lollipop.

Until you look closer.

"#ad You guys… @flattummyco just dropped a new product. They’re Appetite Suppressant Lollipops and they’re literally unreal. They’re giving the first 500 people on their website 15% OFF so if you want to get your hands on some… you need to do it quick! #suckit"

P.S. can someone tell Kimmy gal the meaning of the word 'literally'?

Despite the images' 1.3 million likes, the 37-year-old has received a slew of negative comments, lambasting her decision to promote the weight loss product.

"Are u kidding?? Re-adding this ad after you deleted it! Put mental health before money," wrote one user, pointing out Kim's flip flop over whether to post.

"This has to be a joke right," said another.

"This is such am incredibly harmful and damaging promotion.... You are incredibly insensitive and obviously desperate to add another dollar to your bank account. Disgusting!!"

"This is terrible. I am so disappointed in what this world has come to. Young girls should learn to love themselves for who they are, and if for whatever reason they do want to change their body, they should do it in a healthy manner."

A whole range of comments were also aimed at other readers:

"LADIES READING THIS (especially young girls) you are PERFECT the way you are and food KEEPS YOU BEAUTIFUL AND ALIVE. please don’t suppress that which supports u. aka ur appetite."

This isn't the first time the Kardashian/Jenner's have promoted products on their Instagram accounts.

Kim has promoted the Flat Tummy Co's range of products before including the shakes while Kylie is nearly synonymous with Sugar Bear Hair vitamins. Khloe and Kris are the reigning champs however, signing on with a host of prods including FabFitFun boxes, protein shakes, Fashion Nova, Lash Elixir... and Rob Kardashian's sock brand.

Now this will be fun.

Now it all makes sense.

“But you did not get to see Jules' bad sides.”
