Kerri-Anne Kennerley Opened Up About Her Husband’s Death
“You're in this black hole, it's so dense, not even light can get out.”
The death of a loved one is one of the hardest things anyone has to face in life.
Going back to your normal routine can feel impossible.
But Kerri-Anne Kennerley has managed just that only a month after the passing of her husband John.
Appearing on Studio 10 this morning, Kerri-Anne opened up about her struggles adjusting to life without her husband.
"It was a shock because I thought I would really have John for many, many, many years to come and a lot of things happened very quickly so it was a terrible shock," she said.
"You're in this black hole, it's so dense, not even light can get out.
"But that said John and I have been a team for too many years, so many years and we were always together, we thought as two and now there's only one.”
Kerri-Anne thanked her co-hosts, Angela Bishop, Sarah Harris, Joe Hildebrand and Denise Drysdale, for their well wishes. She also also thanked the public for their show of support during her difficult time.
In February, Kerri-Anne confirmed the sad news that her husband had passed via her Instagram.
"It's with a heavy heart and awful sadness that I let you know that my beautiful husband John passed away last night," she wrote.
"John passed away peacefully with his son Simon and I by his side. John, you were the love of my life. Xxx."
