Kanye Is Bringing His ‘Sunday Service’ To Coachella For Easter
Yeezus has risen.
Kanye West has his own church.
That’s not the punchline of a joke, it’s actual fact.
Kanye’s ‘Sunday Service’ involves a lot of singing, dancing and monochrome colour themes (so far, churchgoers have dressed in all grey, all black and all white… revolutionary).
Kanye’s church has been in service since the start of the year and has featured a range of musicians singing gospel classics as well as Kanye’s own music.
A lot of celebs have attended church and we’ve always thought we were too uncool to attend.
But the universe has dealt us a good card ‘cause Kanye’s church is heading to Coachella this year and PRAISE YEEZUS!
Kanye’s gospel concert - sorry, ‘church’- is heading to the desert on Sunday, 21 April.
Yes, that’s Easter Sunday. So you can fulfil your holy duties WHILE wrapping along to Yeezy- it’s a win-win.
In true West-Kardashian fashion, the artist made the announcement over the loudspeaker on board an aeroplane.
AN AEROPLANE. As in a real-life flying machine.
"737 passengers, we'd like to make an announcement that we just booked another show," Kanye says in the video.
“We will be doing Sunday Service sunrise at Coachella.”
Kanye joins an already killer lineup for Coachella 2019.
Ariana Grande, Tame Impala, Childish Gambino and more will be performing at the festival this year. Peep the full lineup here.
We’re gonna go buy ourselves some white linen pants and book a ticket to the USA ‘cause it’s time to go to church.
