High School Musical fans, Ashley Tisdale is back on the mic
And her new song is giving us serious Sharpay vibes
If you’re one of the lucky ones you’ll remember Disney Channel’s golden days.
We’re talking Kim Possible in the AM followed by five back-to-back episodes of Even Stevens and then some afternoon viewing of That’s So Raven to bring it all home.
But one of the GREATEST things to come out of OG Disney Channel is High School Musical.
Haters exit at stage left.
WELL the mastermind behind your favourite sassy cool girl Sharpay Evans is back after a nine year hiatus and has a new song to boot.
Yep Ashley Tisdale has dropped a new single and it’s giving us serious #memz.
The song, called Voices In My Head, includes some pretty powerful lyrics.
“No you don’t need it, all the jealousy and ugly feelings, left from my history I try so hard, but they get the best of me,” Ashley sings.
The song goes on to explore the struggles of anxiety when in a relationship and Ashley even drops an f-bomb in the chorus.
The artwork offers something much softer.
Ashley is pictured in a silky white gown and beaded headband looking very reflective while sitting on a concrete floor and same.
Well, not really. But it sure makes for some pretty cover art.
The single is off Ashley’s upcoming album Symptoms and we sure experienced a few symptoms while listening to it.
These may include increased heart rate, involuntary toe tapping and an intense desire to scream with excitement.
Long live queen Sharpay!
