Friends star Matthew Perry rushed to hospital
We hope he gets better soon!
Friends star Matthew Perry was rushed to hospital on Tuesday for surgery to repair a gastrointestinal perforation.
A rep for the star confirmed he'd been taken to an LA hospital:
"He is grateful for the concern and asks for continued privacy as he heals."
A gastrointestinal perforation is also known as a ruptured bowel and can occur anywhere along the wall of the gastrointestinal tract including the esophagus, stomach, small intestine and large intestine.
Reports suggest Perry sought medical help when his abdominal pain became too much for him to bear.
It's unknown what caused the problem, but causes range from trauma with a knife wound, eating a sharp object or even a medical procedure. If it's left untreated it can be fatal.
