First Sightings Of Britney Spears Since Hospital Admission

2 min read

Stronger than yesterday.

Britney Spears fans all over the world are cheering at the first sight of their idol after weeks of refreshing their feeds praying for a sign that she is okay.

News broke that Spears checked herself into a mental health facility earlier this month amid reports from TMZ that the star is “distraught” over her dad’s illness.

But over the Easter weekend it looks like she was released to spend some time with her boyfriend of two years, Sam Asghari.

The pair were spotted at a hotel in Beverly Hills and as the duo were walking out Asghari attempted to cover Spears from the waiting paparazzi.

Reports suggest the singer was granted a weekend pass by wellness facility officials to visit with her loved ones.

On 3 April, Britney appeared to assure fans she was doing okay on Instagram as rumours surfaced alleging she was struggling with life.

"We all need to take time for a little 'me time'."

Even though it was reported Spears voluntarily went to a mental health facility, a voicemail aired on a Spears-centric podcast Britney’s Gram has caused fans to think otherwise.

According to the April 16 "special emergency" episode, the voicemail is from an anonymous former member of Spears’ legal team who said she was being held against her will in a facility since early January, and with no knowledge of when she’ll be released.

In the voicemail, the person claimed Spears had not been taking her medication, causing her father to pull his support from her Las Vegas residency back in January.

Spears took to on Instagram to reveal the decision to put her residency on hold was due to her father’s illness:

“A couple of months ago, my father was hospitalised and almost died. We’re all so grateful that he came out of it alive, but he still has a long road ahead of him. I had to make the difficult decision to put my full focus and energy on my family at this time.”

The hashtag #FreeBritney has since gone viral.

If you or anyone you know is struggling with mental health, help is available.
