"...time to switch to another channel"

Ah the ups and downs of a talent show...

If you've been keeping up to date with this year's season of The Voice, you'll know that Australia was treated to a nice little throwback in the form of an audition from none other than Hi-5 alum Nathan Foley.

The 39-year-old performer made it through the blind auditions, to the delight of the millennials who grew up with his face on telly, but unfortunately didn't make it much further than that.

During the knockout rounds, Foley was swiftly eliminated. Delta Goodrem instead chose to take Sheldon Riley through to the next round.

Many fans were upset with the choice, with some even vowing to no longer watch the series as a result:

Foley himself appears to be taking the news quite well, however. He posted a sweet update to Instagram stating that he's got more to come:

"Well...That ends my journey on the voice, but it doesn’t end my journey as an entertainer. I love what I do for a living and what makes it even more beautiful is having the amazing support of my fans, family and friends who have stuck with me from day one all those years ago Stay tuned y’all cause I’m not giving up just yet. I love you all"
