Don't panic but Cardi B's Instagram account is MIA
Deep breaths everyone.
Put your head between your knees and kiss your tush goodbye because the end of the world as we know it - aka, a world without Cardi B’s daily Insta-sauce - is upon us.
Bardi appears to have deleted her Instagram account just hours after being crowned the first solo female rapper to be awarded Best Rap Album at the 61st Grammys.
Yesterday should have been joy all ‘round for the artist.
Her Grammys featured lots of loved-up PDA with her not-so-estranged hubby Offset, finally meeting her idol Lady Gaga and, y’know, her history-making Grammy win.
But the internet wasn’t content to let her bask in the golden glow of her trophy.
Neither was Ariana Grande, who vented her disapproval during Cardi’s acceptance speech.
The singer Tweeted five times with the now-deleted words “what”, “f*uck” “trash” “bullsh*t” and “literal bullsh*t”.
It’s suspected the criticism comes after Cardi B’s global hit record Invasion Of Privacy was selected over the posthumous nomination of Mac Miller’s Swimming. Grande and Miller dated for two years before his accidental overdose last September.
A video posted on Cardi’s Instagram has been shared on Twitter and shows the rapper firing back at her critics. It has since been deleted, along with the account's 575 posts and 40.7 million followers.
“I'm seeing a lot of sh*t today and I saw a lot of bullsh*t last night... I work hard for my motherf***kin’ album,” she snaps to the camera.
“I remember last year when I didn't win for Bodak Yellow and everyone was like 'Cardi got snubbed...' Now it's a motherf***kin problem?!”
@IAmCardiB now leads to a blank page stating that the profile is unavailable, despite her website continuing to link to the account.
And while we can be almost certain she’s gone for now, but not forever, those needing their daily shot of Vitamin Bardi can get their fix on her still-active Twitter account.
