Demi Lovato's latest move on Insta seems to be a message to her friends
What do you think it means?
The singer's views were made clear with a simple comment on a fan account:
"True friends don't do interviews about you when you OD."
It appears Lovato is continuing to make significant changes to her immediate circle of pals, unfollowing a handful of her closest friends.
As Cosmopolitan mag has reported, the 26-year-old performer has culled celebs including Nick Jonas, Selena Gomez and Iggy Azalea from her Instagram account - all three of whom she previously held close relationships with.
It's been speculated, ET shares, that the unfollowing spree is a reaction to Jonas, Gomez and Azalea speaking publicly about her sobriety.
At the time of Lovato's overdose, Jonas tweeted: “Like all of you I am reeling at the news about Demi. All of us love her and need to pray for her to get well. She is a fighter. #prayfordemi.”
While it's worth noting that Gomez actually unfollowed Lovato earlier this year, she also briefly spoke about Lovato's battle with sobriety during an interview with Elle:
“I reached out to her personally. I didn’t do a public thing. I didn’t want to. I… I love her. I’ve known her since I was seven.”
Although it doesn't appear as though Azalea spoke about Lovato's admission into hospital, she did comment on her relapse to ET:
“I had known about it, as a close friend," she said.
"So I had really wanted for her to be the one to tell people that. And I worried a lot, as her friend, that something was going to leak or somebody would somehow take that and use it negatively against her, or to make her seem like she’s got a secret.”
It's been reported that Azalea has unfollowed Lovato as well.
