Demi Lovato slams 'true friends' for giving interviews about overdose

"You have no idea what you're talking about."

Barring a public appearance to vote in America's mid-term elections, Demi Lovato has kept a low profile after completing her drug rehabilitation.

Now the singer has broken her social media silence to refute fans thinking they know all about her situation before slamming her former "true friends" who gave interviews about her during that time.

The drama started when a Demi fan Instagram account criticised the singer for allegedly firing her longtime back-up dancer Dani Vitale.

Demi quickly responded to the comment, writing:

"You have no idea what you're talking about."

She then followed that up with:

"True friends don't do interviews about you when you OD."

This new drama links back to a post shared by Dani back in August when she denied rumours that she provided Demi with drugs.

In a lengthy Instagram post shared by the dancer, she refuted all the drug-related rumours before opening up about her own wellbeing after all the accusations started spreading online.

Other than this recent activity on Instagram and her midterm post, Demi has maintained radio silence since releasing an official statement back in August.

Demi suffered a drug overdose back in July and after some time spent recovering in hospital, she subsequently completed a successful drug treatment program.
