"Best day ever"

It has been six months since Demi Lovato's overdose, and the 26-year-old artist appears to be making great progress.

The 'Cool For The Summer' singer has spent the weekend celebrating the milestone of reaching six months of sobriety and shared a couple of updates to Instagram for fans.

Lovato posted a photo of a congratulatory cake, and a message from her team that read, "Happy 6 mo, we're so f**king proud of you! Love, Team DL".

Along with the snap she shared the caption, "best day ever".

She also posted a photo of her six-month chip.

Back in July 2018, Lovato was found unconscious in her Hollywood Hills as a result of an overdose. She was treated at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.

Since then, it seems she has been making great strides in her battle with addiction. Last we heard from Lovato, she had shared a loving update to Instagram about her sister's wedding for which she was a bridesmaid.

As the caption for the post she wrote:

"I was a bridesmaid yesterday for my sister/ former babysitter/friend of 23 years... I love you @jennaschubart. What a perfect wedding for a perfect couple!! #MrandMrsSmith"

Looks like the performer is doing incredibly well, which is wonderful to see.
