The Breaking Bad team is officially cooking up a movie
Hold onto your hats folks. Breaking Bad is officially coming back.
And this time
it's personal it's in movie form.
The Hollywood Reporter spoke to show creater Vince Gilligan who revealed he was working on a two-hour movie that their sources say, “will be set in the existing Breaking Bad franchise.” For a while we thought this drip of info was juicy as it got - we even learned the codename, Greenbrier - but things just kicked into next gear.
Bryan Cranston aka Walter White has confirmed to The Dan Patrick show that a Breaking Bad movie is in development and he's been in touch with Gilligan.
“There appears to be a movie version of Breaking Bad,” Cranston said, adding “I honestly have not even read the script.”
It's unclear how much the film, which will “follow the escape of a kidnapped man and his quest for freedom,” will involve Cranston but the actor has revealed that if Gilligan asked, he'd jump back into the character - if nothing for flashbacks.
“If Vince Gilligan asked me to do it, sure,” Cranston said.
Slash Film have also reported that the movie will follow Aaron Paul's character Jesse so... it's all a bit up in the air at this point.
