Meghan Markle and Prince Harry

Sounds pretty convincing!

Ever since it was announced Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are welcoming their first baby in 2019, punters have been rushing to place bets on the due date.

The pair announced the pregnancy in October with the official statement from Kensington Palace saying:

"Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Sussex is expecting a baby in the Spring of 2019.

"Their Royal Highnesses have appreciated all of the support they have received from people around the world since their wedding in May and are delighted to be able to share this happy news with the public."

As the only information given my the palace was that the baby is due in spring 2019, many people are trying to guess the exact due date themselves.

According to the Daily Express, spring in the UK officially begins March 20 and ends on June 21, so Meghan could give birth anytime between 22 to 35 weeks from now.

Bookmaker Coral has now slashed the odds on the baby being born in April to 6/4.

Coral's Harry Aitkenhead said:

”It's sure to be an exciting spring for Royal fans and we make April the favourite for the month that Meghan and Harry's new arrival is born.

“If that is true, the new baby could well share a birthday with some other Royals.”

Prince William and Kate Middleton's son, Prince Louis, was born on April 23, 2018.

If Harry and Meghan's baby is a boy, his title will be Earl of Dumbarton, and if it's a girl her title will be Lady Mountbatten-Windsor.

The new baby will be seventh in line to the throne.
