"You took the kids?"

There are very few couples we love quite as much as we love Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher.

The duo is equal parts adorable and funny, and that's a combo we can't resist - quite honestly.

So, when tabloids were reporting they had broken up this week, we were gobsmacked. Probably about as surprised as they were, actually.

The news shocked the couple so much, in fact, that they decided to record a video about it.

Kutcher posted the footage of the pair to Instagram along with the caption:

"I guess it’s over @intouchweekly have fun selling magazines this week. Maybe next week my wife will be having twins. For the third time. But who’s counting."

In the vid we see Kutcher, 41, and Kunis, 35, in a car together having a chat about the news:

“Babe, what’s happening?” Kutcher asks.

“It’s over between us,” replies Kunis.

“It’s over?” Says Kutcher.

“Oh my God! What are we gonna do?”

“I felt suffocated,” Kunis goes on to share.

“You felt suffocated by me? I was so overbearing wasn’t I?” Kutcher adds.

“Also, I took the kids,” Kunis tells Kutcher.

The actor responds with: “Oh, you took the kids? I don’t get the kids anymore?”

“You had a very dark secret exposed,” Kunis goes on to say.

“Oh my gosh. What was the dark secret?”

Honestly, we'd like to know, too!

This isn't the first time Kunis and Kutcher have used humour to shut down tabloid rumours, either. Remember that story about Kunis reportedly stealing some woman's chicken?

The couple also shared a pretty hilarious video about that saga back in 2015 in which Kunis apologised for any foul play she may have been guilty of.

"I was like: 'Which chicken did I steal?' I was obviously in the village when I stole these chickens so I apologize to this woman."

Man, what we wouldn't give to be friends with these two.
