Ariana Grande shares powerful message defending Pete Davidson from online trolls

"I feel the need to remind my fans to please be gentler with others."

Yesterday saw Pete Davidson share a heartbreaking message addressing all the backlash he's received from online trolls since he and Ariana Grande broke off their engagement.

But despite their break-up, it is clear that Pete and Ariana still care for each other very much and the singer has now taken to Instagram to defend her ex-fiancé.

In a new post, Ariana shared Pete's message alongside her own powerful and lengthy rebuttal against his online trolls.

The singer starts off reminding everyone to be "gentler with others" before reiterating that she still "cares deeply about Pete and his health."

“I know u already know this but I feel I need to remind my fans to please be gentler with others.

“I really don’t endorse anything but forgiveness and positivity. I care deeply about pete and his health.”

Here's Ariana's message in its entirety:

This isn't the first time that Ariana has said something positive about Pete since their break-up.

In her newly released song "Thank U, Next", the singer had nothing but kind words for the Saturday Night Live star:

"Even almost got married, and for Pete, I'm so thankful."

She dropped a second reference to Pete in her "Thank U, Next" music video, writing "Sry I dipped. I love you always" in her Burn Book (before also adding, "HUUUUUUGE").

Pete certainly doesn't deserve any of the online trolling he's received and it's quite heartwarming to see Ariana stepping up to defend him.

Just know that you have people who love and support you, Pete!
