Ariana Grande responds with straight fire to Pete Davidson's SNL joke
Please apply cold water to burned area.
Oh boy, this Pete Davidson-Ariana Grande post break-up thing is getting heated.
First Pete did a stand-up set about their break-up a few weeks ago before making an awkward joke to musican Maggie Rogers about their relationship in a new Saturday Night Live promo.
Now Ariana has seemingly hit back with the fury of a thousand suns.
It all started when Pete made this cringeworthy joke:
Fans started responding to the joke on social media, one of whom tweeted "tag yourself, I'm Maggie".
Ariana somehow found this post from the fan and retweeted it with just a full stop.
No words or pictures or anything. A full stop.
But she wasn't finished just yet.
The singer then seemingly took one step further by ripping Pete's soul in half and dragging it through hot coals. Almost literally.
After re-tweeting the fan's post, Ariana then posted two tweets to her Twitter, the first of which was:
"thank u, next"
That was just a warm-up for the scorching second tweet:
"for somebody who claims to hate relevancy u sure love clinging to it huh.
Ouch. Very ouch.
There's not enough cold water in the world for that furious burn.
We hate break-ups and all here, especially when it descends into who "won" the break-up. But in this case, we're gonna make an exception because the singer is clearly the winner in this increasingly juicy post break-up battle.
Ariana has since deleted her tweets, but you can check out some screengrabs of them right here at Narcity.
One thing's for sure, it definitely looks like Pete Davidson and Ariana Grande are well and truly done, not unlike poor Pete's soul.
