"So cringeworthy!"

The first promo video for The Bachelorette was released on Wednesday night, featuring Ali Oetjen re-enacting a scene from the Marilyn Monroe film Gentlemen Prefer Blondes while singing 'Can't Hurry Love'.

Fans have since taken to social media to slam the teaser immediately after it aired.

Some of the comments on Facebook read:

"So cringeworthy. Hope she's not hoping for a music career out of this."

"We need another Georgia Love - she was bloody spot on. Best season."

"Are you serious. How many chances has she been given. She got with Grant and moved overseas with him. Then cheated. Boo bad decision producers."

"I’ve watched them all, every episode. But this chick does my head in. Nope!"

"Seriously?! I thought they were gunna choose someone else after all of Australia said they didn’t want her???? (sic)"

"I feel like she’s been given so many chances and nothing has happened. She’s clearly not meant to find love in the spotlight."

There was also plenty of backlash on Twitter

The Bachelorette will air after Nick Cummins' season of The Bachelor.

Ali first appeared on screens during Tim Robards' season of The Bachelor, placing second runner-up.

She then appeared on Bachelor In Paradise and found love with Grant Kemp, however, things soured when she reportedly cheated on him in his own house in LA.

This will be her third attempt to find love on national television.
