Abbie Says She’d “Love To” Sit Down With Matt And Chelsie To Debrief On The Bachelor

Well that sounds like a pleasant conversation.

She’s this season’s villain who ended the show without Matt’s heart, but whose heartbreak is winning her the love of the country.

Now, The Bachelor runner up Abbie Chatfield has told news.com.au that even though she hasn’t spoken to Matt since he broke her heart in South Africa, she’s still like to catch up with him and winner Chelsea McLeod.

“I’d love to if he and Chelsie were okay with it, to have a debrief and ask some questions that I have,” Abbie told news.com.au.

“But I don’t think that’s possible.”

Four months after filming wrapped, Abbie is still waiting for answers. She shared with the publication details of her and Matt’s conversations which didn’t make the final edit.

After the 23-year-old told that Bachelor “I love you” for the first time, we were only shown Matt kissing her in response. But Abbie says there’s more to the story:

“He actually did say something back, (but) they didn’t include it,” Abbie told news.com.au.

“He kind of did a lovely little speech and he said, ‘There are things I want to say but I can’t’.”

It’s now four months later, and Abbie still wants answers.

The one question she’s like to ask Matt, she told the publication, is “‘What were those things you wanted to say?’ Were they, ‘Don’t get too invested?’ Because it heavily implies something positive.”

She revealed that she feels “a little bit” lied to by Matt, who she believed was giving indications she would be his final choice.

“Some things he said to me were also pretty intense, like on and off camera,” Abbie told news.com.au. “Everything he was saying to me was sweet nothings.”

She revealed that she wished he had “toned it back at the end” or sent her home earlier, “because I have a feeling he would have known for a few weeks what he was going to do.”
