Ed Sheeran Is About To Open His Own Bar
Booking flights ASAP
He's one of the most successful musicians in the world, and now it sounds like Ed Sheeran is venturing into a new business.
Ed and his manager Stuart Camp are currently working on opening up a bar, restaurant and live music venue by the end of April, according to the British tabloid The Sun.
While the reports haven’t been confirmed by Ed himself, the paper says that the duo purchased the West London Spanish diner Galicia last year for £1.5 million, which is currently being reconstructed.
Another rumour is that the venue will be named after his own song Castle On The Hill.
Of course, Ed isn’t the only celebrity to pursue this industry.
We’ve created a list of venues around the world that are owned by your fave stars, and let’s just say we know what we will be doing if we visit Mykonos…
Drake - Pick 6ix
Alongside his friend OVO Chubbs, Drake opened a combination restaurant/lounge/sports bar in Toronto, Canada with “top-tier service and an expansive menu”. The venue, which opened in early 2018, is described as “something affordable for everyone” while also including a private VIP room for Drake and his celebrity guests.
In early March 2019, the venue announced that they will be re-opening solely as a sports bar.
Lindsay Lohan - Lohan Beach House
While she already owns a nightclub in Athens, LiLo opened her own beach club mid-2018 featuring rentable sun beds, a restaurant, boutique and ‘wellness corner’. Of course, the venue is the subject of the latest MTV reality TV show, ‘Lindsay Lohan's Beach Club’, and the location where she performed her iconic #dothelilo dance.
Sandra Bullock - Walton’s Fancy & Staple
The Academy Award-winning actress is the owner of a hybrid bakery, deli, coffee shop and florist in Austin, Texas. The bistro has been described as “the perfect combination of hip and timeless”, and is well-known for its Southern comfort food and desserts.
Jay Z - 40/40 Club
Since 2003, Jay-Z has opened a chain of sports bars and lounges across America. The swanky venues are well-known for their live music, sports memorabilia and celebrity guests, and were referenced in his song ‘Dirt Off Your Shoulder’.
Channing Tatum - Saints and Sinners
Channing Tatum opened his own New Orleans restaurant/lounge in 2012, modelled after “famous red-light district bordellos and burlesque halls of New Orleans’ Storyville era”. A portion of every menu item helps feed children and families around the world through the restaurant’s non-profit organisation, the Love Thy Neighbor Foundation.
Dylan Sprouse - All-Wise
The former-Disney Channel star is the CEO of his own meadery and tasting room in New York. Launched in 2017, the distillery aims to “challenge wide-assumptions about the ancient beverage and offer a fresh and simple mead to the masses”.
Peking Duk - Talk To Me
The Aussie duo have just released their new song ‘Sugar’ with Jack River, they’re going on their biggest tour ever in a couple of months, and late last year they opened their own bar in Melbourne.
The pair chatted with Smallzy about running the bar and how it is different to what they expected, plus they answer the big question: do they serve peking duck on the menu?
While stopping by to promote their latest single ‘Sugar’, Peking Duk also played a game of ‘Who Am I’ which Smallzy read from Fantale wrappers.
Should we be surprised that the boys were so good at this?
