What is it about a crazy, silly music video that is just so cool to be able to go behind the scenes to find out exactly what the band was thinking about when they made it?
Well that’s what we’ve got here with the boys from Something With Numbers and their brand new song “Stay With Me Bright Eyes”.
The story is something like this: They play the role of an amateur play’s on-stage band... But then the lead singer Jake falls in love with the lead actress... and mayhem ensues... Brilliant! (Maybe there is some truth in musicians always hog the stage!)
These guys have been around a while now, and we think they're alright (let’s not let them get a big head... I mean Jake’s hair is big enough right? Just kidding guys!!)
The new album is out September 6th and is called “Engineering The Soul”.
Now a little birdy told me (okay it was Jabba), that apparently the album’s title was a phrase that came to the band's songwriter, Jake Grigg, in a dream, and Jake told Jabba “Music is what powers the soul. We make the music. We are engineering the soul.”
